“Bukan” K.M. “Keeping the Way of Imi Lichtenfeld” (Imi and Yaron)
-
Imi Lichtenfeld and Yaron Lichtenshtein
Imi Lichtenfeld (1910-1998) – The founder of ”Krav Maga Ve Hagana Atsmit”
Yaron Lichtenshtein (1953- ) – President of “Bukan” school of Krav Maga. The school was established when Krav Maga politics became too unbearable.
Boaz Hagay (1964- ) – Teacher of Bukan K.M School of Self Defense Japan. Yaron Lichtenshtein is the president of “Bukan” Bukan K.M Japan, an organization created to keep the way of the founder, Imi Lichtenfeld and his student Yaron Lichtenshtein. Yaron is my teacher for over 30 years and I teach his way; simple and effective.
No words can express the gratitude I have to my teachers, Yaron and Imi. When one come to see that logic is not logical, you see as far as you let yourself to see, and accept that you really know nothing at all. So in keeping this way, go on practicing and keep going!
Yaron and Imi
“The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other’s life.”
“Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof.”
1987 “Bukan” Presentation
“Bukan School of Krav Maga” where I practiced daily with Yaron and had endless conversations. Most of these talks ended up with a “Go to Japan”. Yaron and Imi are in the center, I am on the bottom right. I received a Krav Maga black belt from Yaron and my Krav Maga instructors certificate from Yaron and Wingate institute of physical education. With this certification I am allowed to teach Krav Maga. My purpose in life is to bring out the warrior in my students, to accept winning as defeat and keep going.
